Power of Empathy: Uncovering what’s already there

I had the opportunity to be one of the speakers this past ADRIC Annual Convention at the now annual, ADRIC Talks session. The year before I emceed the inaugural ADRIC Talks session, and was honored when asked to speak this year.

My talk focused on the difference Mediation makes in the lives of students. From decreased in-school violence to increased attendance, I have never personally experienced this level of personal growth working with and changing the directions of students in High School.

When conflict is directly, and correctly, addressed, the difference is immediate, impactful and lasting.

I continue to believe that mediation and furthermore, conflict management training, can fundamentally change the way we interact with each other for the better.
